MADISON, N.J. -- The FDU-Florham field hockey team honored head coach
Jenn Noon in their Pink Game with a 3-1 victory over Lebanon Valley on Wednesday night at Robert T. Shields Field.
The Devils wore pink and accepted donations throughout the night to support coach Noon in her fight against breast cancer and to raise awareness for cancer research.
A pair of penalty stroke goals from senior forward
Kim Davis put FDU-Florham ahead in the first half.
Davis widened her all-time career goals program record with a penalty stroke point at 19:01.
However, the Flying Dutchmen answered back just a few minutes later on a goal from Maggie Fox to even things up.
With five minutes left in the first half, Davis capitalized on another penalty stroke opportunity to grab her 15th goal of the season and a 2-1 lead for the Devils.
Junior forward
Marissa Kowalskie followed up with a second half insurance goal after moving past the Lebanon Valley defenders to tally a close-range score.
The Devils outshot the Flying Dutchmen, 13-5, and recorded a 15-4 penalty corner advantage in the non-conference victory.
Up next, the Devils return to conference action against DeSales University on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. at Robert T. Shields Field.
