MADISON, N.J. -- Junior midfielder
AJ Carnevale struck twice and the FDU-Florham men's soccer team blanked Delaware Valley University 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Florham Campus Grass Field.
As the campus celebrated its annual homecoming day, the Devils (7-6-1, 3-1 MAC Freedom) picked up a crucial MAC Freedom victory over the Aggies (4-10-1, 0-4 MAC Freedom).
The Devils outshot the Aggies 26-5 including 14-3 in shots on target in the victory. Carnevale netted the Devils' first goal in the 24th minute before striking again in the 59th minute when he received a through ball from teammate
Stephen Cocuzza and snuck it inside of the near post past Delaware Valley goalkeeper
Connoer Hedgepeth. Carnevale now has a team-high nine goals on the campaign.
Hedgepeth made 11 saves in the loss, while Devils netminder
Nick Mihalik made three stops to earn the win.

Chaz Armand added an insurance goal for the Devils at the 72:30 mark when he knocked in a cross from
Gio Aiello for his third goal of the season.
The Devils return to action this Tuesday, October 20 when they travel to Purchase, N.Y. to take on Manhattanville College at 3:30 p.m.
