MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham tennis team improved to 2-4 on the season by sweeping College of Saint Elizabeth 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
Devils freshman
Remy Astorino (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) set the tone by winning the first match 6-0, 6-1. Senior
Jenna Cowie (Longmont, Colo./Longmont) followed by blanking her opponent 6-0, 6-0.
Tenzin Lama (Kearny, N.J./Kearny),
Kristen Ordonez (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypth),
Jennifer Epstein (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East), and
Murphy Sieg (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) all took care of business in their singles matches and earned comfortable victories.
In doubles competition, Cowie and Astorino paired up for an 8-0 victory, which was followed by victories by Lama and Martin, and Ordonez and Epstein to complete the 9-0 win.
