MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The FDU-Florham women's tennis team earned their first victory of the season, by defeating College of Saint Elizabeth 9-0 on Thursday afternoon.
The Devils dominated the doubles matches, claiming all three 8-0. In singles,
Megan Scherer (Bronx, N.Y./Preston) set the tone with a straight-sets victory 6-0, 6-0 over Screaming Eagles freshman
Maria Sophia Grillo.

Remy Astorino (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) followed with a 6-2, 6-2 victory before senior
Jenna Cowie (Longmont, Colo./Longmont)blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0. FDU-Florham cruised with three more victories from
Kim Martin (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick),
Tenzin Lama (Kearny, N.J./Kearny) and
Jennifer Epstein (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East).
The Devils improve to 1-4 on the season, while the loss drops the Screaming Eagles to 0-1 on the campaign.
