MADISON, N.J. – The No.12 FDU-Florham Devils women's basketball team kept it rolling on Monday night, earning a comfortable win over the New Jersey City University Gothic Knights 87-52 at the Ferguson Recreation Center.
The Devils (13-0, 2-0 MAC) applied relentless, full-court pressure throughout the contest, which resulted in 20 NJCU turnovers. The unbeaten Devils displayed a balanced offensive attack with four players scoring in double-figures.
Kyra Dayon (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central) and
Randi Jo Farrell (West Orange, N.J./Mount St. Dominic) led all scorers with 12 points apiece. The scoring output is a season-high for Farrell, who accrued all 12 points from behind the arc by knocking down four of her seven shot attempts.
With 4:16 remaining in the opening stanza, FDU built a 14-point lead at 31-17, but the Gothic Knights fought back thanks in part to two layups by senior center

The Devils pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Gothic Knights 24-4 during the game's final 9:17 of action. FDU played aggressively, however they did an excellent job taking care of the basketball and only committed six turnovers on the night (two in the second half).
Devils senior point guard
Jalessa Lewis (Irvington, N.J./Mount St. Dominic) notched 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists in the win. The Devils floor general also knocked down 8-of-10 shots from the charity stripe.
