- The Devils and Cougars made back-and-forth baskets in the opening quarter as they were tied 9-9 at the 6:28 minute mark
- Misericordia started to grow a short lead, but a 3-pointer followed by a layup from Centeno propelled the Devils into the lead, 14-13
- FDU held onto the lead until the end of the first quarter as the Cougars were up 21-18
- Misericordia maintained its small lead in the early minutes of the second quarter, but the score came to another tie at the 2:58 time stamp with a made layup by Centeno
- By the end of the second quarter, the Cougars were able to fend off the Devils from the basket as they led 40-30 going to the third quarter
- With third-quarter points from Centeno, Vazquez, and Sullivan, the closest the Devils got to catching up to the Cougars was within 5 points at the 7:33 minute mark, 44-37
- FDU stayed close behind as they were down 43-52 headed into the last 10:00 minutes of game play
- In the fourth, a 3-pointer from Centeno brought the score to a close 56-53 with 6:26 remaining
- The Devils kept the score under a 5-point deficit with points from Vazquez and Clancy, 60-55, with 5:33 on the clock
- During the final minutes of the fourth quarter, Misericordia outscored FDU, finishing with a score of 71-59
