Box Score Patchogue, N.Y.  -- The FDU-Florham men's soccer team picked up their second win of the season in impressive fashion, cruising to a 5-1 victory over the St. Joseph's College (Long Island) Golden Eagles on Saturday afternoon.
The Devils offense got off to a great start when freshman midfielder
Dylan Meyler directed in the Devils first goal off a corner kick, giving FDU a 1-0 advantage less than four minutes into the game. In the 32
nd minute, senior
Ryan Hurdes got in on the action driving in his first of his two goals on the day.
With the Devils leading 2-1 early in the second half Atlanta native, Chaz Arnaud provided some breathing room for FDU netting the team's third goal.
FDU would tack on two more scores for good measure, one from Hurdes and a late goal from
Justin Barbosa resulting in the 5-1 victory.
Next up for the Devils is the final of the SJC-LI tournament tomorrow, when they take on SUNY-New Paltz, who defeated the US Coast Guard Academy in penalty kicks on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.mÂ
