HOW IT HAPPENED
- FDU wasted no time Saturday afternoon as Ferreira put the Devils on the board in the 8' on an assist from Gancio to take a 1-0 lead.
- Despite eight shots with three on goal, Ford and the FDU defense were able to hold the Lions off the board in the first half and went into the break leading one-nil.
- The squads traded shot for shot to start the second half, but it was Dent who found the back of the Lions net on an assist from Adame to put FDU ahead 2-0 in the 73'.
- Then, in the 81', after a Lions corner kick, Albright's Brady Divito put the first one past Ford and cut the FDU lead in half as the Devils led 2-1 with just over eight minutes left to play.
- Ford managed a save on the potential game-tying goal in the 84' and the Devils came out on top 2-1.
GAME NOTES
- Ferreira now leads the team in goals on the year with six.
- This was Ford's second straight start with six or more saves.
