Box Score MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham Devils men's soccer team put forth a valiant second half effort, but the comeback bid came up short as they fell to The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Lions 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lions came out firing early, scoring the first three goals of the day all prior to the 25
th minute. FDU was able to gain some momentum heading into the half, when senior
Brian Nazari fired home an assist from
Jonathan Trujillo just two seconds before intermission.
Lions leading scorer Kevin Shaw added to the TCNJ advantage by finding the back of the net in the 56
th minute, increasing the lead back to three goals.
Trailing 4-1, the Devils remained undeterred as an
Andrew Ruane penalty kick and a
Luke Devine strike brought FDU within one.
Ultimately, the Devils were unable to produce a fourth and game-tying goal, falling 4-3.

Ryan Hurdes' four-game goal streak came to an end. The goals for Nazari and Devine were their first of the 2013 campaign.

The four-game home stand comes to an end on Saturday when they take on College of Staten Island at Shields Field with kickoff slated for 4 p.m.
