MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils earned their first victory of the season on Friday afternoon, a 9-0 triumph over St. Elizabeth in non-conference action.
With the win, the Devils improved to 1-8.
Junior
Megan Scherer led the way by winning at first singles (6-0, 6-0) and teaming with junior
Jenna Cowie to win at first doubles (8-0). Cowie also won at second singles (6-0, 6-0). Sophomore
Michelle Berkenstock took third singles (6-1, 6-1) and combined with freshman
Gabriella Vitiello to win second doubles (8-1). Vitiello won fourth singles (6-0, 6-0). Junior
Lindsey Martin won at fifth singles (6-0, 6-1) and teamed with freshman
Tenzin Lama to win at third doubles (8-1). Junior
Jennifer Epstein picked up the final victory at sixth singles (6-0, 6-0).
The Devils return to action on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Arcadia beginning at 3:30 pm.
