Box Score PURCHASE, N.Y. -- The FDU-Florham men's soccer team won their third straight contest on Tuesday night, blanking Manhattanville College 1-0, to move into sole possession of first place in the Freedom Conference.
The Devils (10-5-1, 4-1 MAC) have now won three straight Freedom Conference matches and currently hold a one game lead over second place teams Eastern University and King's College.
Igor Petrovic (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) was responsible for the lone goal of the match. In the 74
th minute, the junior forward collected the ball in the middle of the field and drove past two Valiant defenders, before firing a shot into the left corner of the net to provide FDU with the win.

The loss for the Valiants (3-10-2, 0-4-1 MAC) drops them out of Freedom Conference tournament contention, with two matches remaining.
Courtesy of his fourth goal, Petrovic now ranks second on the team with 15 points.
