Box Score JERSEY CITY, NJ - The College at Florham Devils knocked off Baruch, 4-1, in the first game of the first day of the New Jersey City Liberty Cup Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 2-2.
The Devils got things going just 4:28 into the game when senior midfielder
Emin Matezic found the back of the net. Freshman forward
Michael Vinci made it 2-0 at the 26:16 mark when he converted a feed from junior forward
Ryan Hurdes but Baruch cut it 2-1 only 0:11 seconds later.
Matezic started the second half with his second goal of the game, off a pass from senior midfielder
Josh Corpuz, before freshman midfielder
AJ Carnevale capped the scoring with 31:45 left in the contest on a pass from Hurdes.
Senior goalkeeper
Tim Kirk picked up the win, playing the first 59:25 of the game while making five saves.
The Devils return to action on Sunday, September 9, 2012, on the second day of the NJCU Tournament against the host school beginning at 2:30 pm.
