Box Score DALLAS, PA - The College at Florham Devils dropped an overtime heartbreaker to Misericordia, 3-2, in their Freedom Conference opener on Saturday evening.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 5-7 (0-1 Freedom) while the Cougars improved to 6-4-1 (1-0 Freedom).
Misericordia got on the board first at the 16:06 mark but the Devils came back to tie it at 1-1 in the 34th minute thanks to a goal from junior forward
Ryan Hurdes. The two teams went back-and-forth for the next fifty minutes but neither team found the back of the net until senior midfielder

Emin Matezic to give FDU a 2-1 lead with 5:15 left in regulation. It was the Cougar's turn to come back though, as Misericordia netted the equalizer with just 1:38 to go in regulation. The contest looked like it would go to double overtime until the Cougars fired in the game-winner with 0:22 remaining in the first extra session to pick up the win.
