Box Score MADISON, NJ - Despite 25 points and nine rebounds from freshman forward
Kyra Dayon, the College at Florham Devils were defeated by King's, 70-65, on Saturday afternoon in Freedom Conference action.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 10-11 (4-6 Freedom) while the Monarchs improved to 18-3 (10-0 Freedom).
With the game tied at 9-9 and five minutes gone by in the first half, King's went on a 12-3 run to grab a 21-12 advantage with 10:25 to go in the first half. After the Devils cut it to 21-18 with 8:15 to go, the Monarchs ended the half on a 15-5 run to take a 36-23 lead into the locker room.
King's picked up where they left off to start the second half, reeling off a 20-13 run to take a 56-36 lead with 11:53 remaining in the game. That's when the Devils dug in though and began their comeback, ripping off 21-6 run over the next ten minutes to pull to within 62-57 with 1:27 to go. Breana Wilson drained a three on FDU's next possession to make the score 65-60. The Monarchs then hit four straight free throws though, to increase their lead to 69-60 with 0:23 remaining, effectively putting the game away.

Kara Dayon pulled down eight rebounds.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at home against Wilkes beginning at 6 pm.
