OWINGS MILLS, MD - The College at Florham Devils knocked off Immaculata, 5-0, in the Black Eyed Susan Tournament held at Stevenson University on Saturday morning.
With the win, the Devils improved to 2-0.
FDU got on the board right away, just 0:24 into the game, when junior midfielder
Victoria Nedo found the back of the cage. Senior midfielder
Megan Springmeyer made it 2-0 five minutes later and the score stayed at 2-0 heading into halftime.
At the 49:56 mark, junior midfielder
Kelsey Kistle made it 3-0 before Springmeyer gave the Devils a 4-0 advantage with 16:40 left in the game. Freshman forward
Gabby D'Amico rounded out the scoring when she banged home a goal with 0:55 remaining.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Jaime Unkel picked up the shutout win, making two saves.
The Devils return to action on Sunday, September 4, 2011, in the Black Eyed Susan Tournament against Shenandoah beginning at noon.
