ST. DAVIDS, PA - In a battle of two of the top teams in the Freedom Conference, the College at Florham Devils were defeated by Eastern by a score of 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-15) on Wednesday evening.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 16-4 (2-1 Freedom) while the Eagles improved to 16-1 (3-0 Freedom).

FDU was led by nine kills from freshman right side Andrea Peters and seven kills from junior middle hitter Lisa Barenzano.  Junior setter Nicole Weissert added 16 assists and nine digs while senior libero Marta Matera tallied 13 digs.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, October 1, 2011, in the Freedom/Commonwealth Crossover held at Eastern against Lebanon Valley and Elizabethtown beginning at 10 am.
