MADISON, NJ - Senior midfielder
Emin Matezic finished with a goal and an assist to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 3-2 victory over Brooklyn College in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 2-4.
Brooklyn jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 6:46 into the game but the Devils came back to tie it at 1-1 at the 31:06 mark when senior defender
Anthony Sarcone converted a corner kick pass from Matezic. The Devils then took a 2-1 lead with 5:50 gone by in the second half as sophomore midfielder
Brent Hasko headed home a throw-in from junior defender
Sean Mosser. FDU grabbed a 3-1 advantage at the 66:31 mark as Matezic banged in a cross from sophomore midfielder
Brian Nazari. The Bulldogs pulled to within 3-2 with 13:43 left in the contest but the FDU defense would allow them to get no closer as the Devils earned the win.
Freshman goalkeeper
Steven Domino picked up the win in net, making one save.
The Devils return to action on Monday, September 19, 2011, at home against Lehman beginning at 7 pm.
