DALLAS, PA - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by Misericordia, 61-39, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon. Misericordia led wire-to-wire as FDU never had a lead in the game.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 8-14 (4-8 Freedom) while the Cougars improved to 15-8 (9-3 Freedom).
The Cougars jumped out to a 15-4 advantage and after the Devils cut it to 17-9 with 6:39 left in the first half, Misericordia closed the half on a 10-5 run to grab a 27-14 halftime lead.
It was more of the same in the second half as the closest the Devils would get was 14 points, 32-18, with 15:53 to go. Misericordia put the game away with a 19-7 run to grab a 51-25 lead as they cruised to the victory.

Shaleah Alston led FDU with 16 points off the bench as she returned from a long lay-off. Senior forward
Shealyn Taggart grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. The Devils once again struggled with turnovers as they coughed it up 28 times.
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Eastern beginning at 6 pm.
