Kyra Dayon posted the first triple-double in FDU women's basketball history as she posted 17 points, 12 rebounds and 10 steals to lead the College at Florham Devils to an 81-65 victory over John Jay. The Devils forced 42 turnovers and collected 32 steals in the win.
With the win, the Devils improved to 4-6.
After John Jay opened up a 10-4 lead with 6:10 gone by in the first half, the Devils responded with a 27-5 outburst to grab a 31-15 advantage with 3:48 to go in the half. Freshman guard
Kyra Dayon recorded nine points for FDU in the run. The Bloodhounds scored the next three points to make it 31-18 but FDU then closed the half on a 12-5 run to take a 43-23 halftime lead.
The Devils started the second half by quickly getting their lead into the 20 point range and FDU kept their lead above 20 for the majority of the second half. The closest John Jay got was 14 points, 77-63, with 2:38 remaining but it was too little too late as the Devils earned the win.

Breana Wilson came off the bench for 12 points and five steals while senior forward
Matil Mangual and junior guard
Tasza Carter had nine points apiece.
The Devils return to action on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at the York College (PA) Tournament against York beginning at 6 pm.
