Box Score MADISON, NJ - In the Freedom Conference opener for both teams, the College at Florham Devils were defeated by DeSales, 60-46, on Wednesday evening.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 3-4 (0-1 Freedom) while the Bulldogs improved to 2-2 (1-0 Freedom).

After the Devils grabbed a 6-5 lead with 15:00 left in the first half, DeSales went on a 19-5 run to grab a 25-10 advantage with 4:48 remaining.  FDU came right back though, and closed the first half with a furios 13-0 run to close to within 25-23 at intermission.  Junior guard Tasza Carter scored seven points in the spurt.

DeSales opened the second half with a 14-3 run to take a 39-26 lead with 14:16 left in the game.  The Devils closed to within five, 41-36, just three minutes later but the Bulldogs got it right back, taking a 47-36 edge with 7:21 to go.  FDU made one final push, closing to 47-41 with 4:54 remaining, but DeSales closed the game with a 13-5 run to pick up the 60-46 victory.

Carter led the Devils with 16 points and four steals while freshman guard Kyra Dayon tallied 14 points, eight rebounds and seven steals.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at King's beginning at 1 pm.
