MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Rutgers-Newark, 2-1, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 5-7 on the season.
After a scoreless first half, FDU got on the board first when junior midfielder
Josh Corpuz headed in a pass from sophomore midfielder
James Mignon at the 52:19 mark. Newark tied it at 1-1 with 17:04 left and got the the game-winner on a penalty kick just two minutes later. Statistically speaking, the game was pretty much even as both teams had two corner kicks while the Devils held a 13-11 advantage in shots.
