MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Misericordia, 3-2, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 5-12 (1-5 Freedom) while the Cougars improved to 11-2-2 (3-2-1 Freedom).

The Cougars quickly struck first, taking a 1-0 lead just 1:31 into the game.  The Devils came back to tie it at 1-1 at the 12:47 mark when freshman forward Tommy Asselta converted a pass from sophomore midfielder Brian Nazari.  FDU then grabbed a 2-1 advantage nine minutes later as freshman forward Igor Petrovic knocked home a feed from sophomore midfielder James Mignon.  The Devils kept that 2-1 lead going into halftime but Misericordia struck fast again to open the second stanza, tying the game at 2-2 with only 1:58 gone by.  The Cougars took a 3-2 edge at the 59:10 mark and although the Devils got a few good looks to tie it down the stretch, Misericordia was able to earn the victory.

Junior goalkeeper Tim Kirk suffered the loss, making 10 saves.

The Devils return to action on Monday, October 24, 2011, at Stockton beginning at 7 pm.
