MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Misericordia, 3-2, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 5-12 (1-5 Freedom) while the Cougars improved to 11-2-2 (3-2-1 Freedom).
The Cougars quickly struck first, taking a 1-0 lead just 1:31 into the game. The Devils came back to tie it at 1-1 at the 12:47 mark when freshman forward
Tommy Asselta converted a pass from sophomore midfielder
Brian Nazari. FDU then grabbed a 2-1 advantage nine minutes later as freshman forward
Igor Petrovic knocked home a feed from sophomore midfielder
James Mignon. The Devils kept that 2-1 lead going into halftime but Misericordia struck fast again to open the second stanza, tying the game at 2-2 with only 1:58 gone by. The Cougars took a 3-2 edge at the 59:10 mark and although the Devils got a few good looks to tie it down the stretch, Misericordia was able to earn the victory.
