ST. DAVIDS, PA - The College at Florham Devils split a pair of games at the Freedom/Commonwealth Crossover on Saturday afternoon, beating Elizabethtown before falling to Lebanon Valley.
With the split, the Devils are now 17-5 on the season.
ELIZABETHTOWN - FDU knocked off the Blue Jays by a score of 3-0 (25-7, 27-25, 25-18). Junior outside hitter
Chelsea Hoeffler and sophomore middle hitter
Helena Riede paced the Devils with 13 kills apiece while freshman outside hitter
Momi Mariani added 10 kills and 20 digs. Junior setter
Nicole Weissert had 41 assists and senior libero
Marta Matera tallied 19 digs.
LEBANON VALLEY - The Devils were defeated by the Dutchmen, 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-22). Freshman right side
Andrea Peters finished with eight kills while Weissert had 13 assists. Mariani notched 12 digs, Hoeffler finished with 14 digs, and Matera recorded 13 digs.
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at home against Delaware Valley beginning at 7 pm.
