READING, PA - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by Alvernia, 5-4, in non-conference action on Monday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 2-9.

Junior Joe Li (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) was a double winner for the Devils, winning at first singles and teaming with junior Andrew Scamporino (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) to win at first doubles.  Freshman Trevor Miles (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) was also a double winner for FDU, taking home third singles and combining with junior Kevin Ly (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) to win at second doubles.  The match came down to Ly at fourth singles.  After dropping the first set, 6-4, Ly came back to win the second set, 7-6 (7-3), while the third set also went to a tiebreaker but unfortunately Ly couldn't pull threw as he fell by a margin of 7-6 (7-4).

The Devils return to action on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Misericordia beginning at 3 pm.
