MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils picked up an enormous win over Wilkes, 1-0, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.  The victory boosts FDU's chances of making the upcoming Freedom Conference Tournament.

With the win, the Devils improved to 8-5-1 (2-1-1 Freedom) while the Colonels dropped to 4-11 (1-3 Freedom).

The lone goal of the game came 20:07 into the first half when sophomore midfielder Manny Almeida (Elizabeth, NJ/Union Catholic) scored off a feed from sophomore midfielder Josh Corpuz (Randolph, NJ/Randolph).  The Devils held a 15-7 advantage in shots and a 9-0 edge in corner kicks but only needed the one goal to pick up the win.

Sophomore goalkeeper Tim Kirk (Pompton Lakes, NJ/Pompton Lakes) made three saves in net to earn the victory.

The Devils return to action on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at home against Manhattanville beginning at 7 pm.
