MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were beaten by The College of New Jersey, 86-69, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 0-10.
TCNJ got out to a 21-10 lead with 10:11 left in the first half before the Devils went on a 9-2 run over the next three minutes to cut the deficit to 23-19. Freshman forward
Derek Hall (Oak Ridge, NJ/Jefferson) had five points in the spurt for FDU. The Lions responded immediately though, ripping off 17-4 run to close the half with a 40-24 lead.
The Lions kept up the same pace in the second half, building their lead to as many as 24 points and the closest FDU got was 14 points (42-28) with just 1:35 gone by in the stanza.
Freshman guard
Alex Rosario (Bound Brook, NJ/Bound Brook) had a career-high 20 off the bench on 8-of-9 shooting while junior center
Ricky Fetske (Galloway, NJ/Absegami) added 18 points and nine rebounds. Hall also came off the bench with a career-high 11 points.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at King's beginning at 3 pm.
