MADISON, NJ - Freshman midfielder
Joshua Corpuz (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) had two goals and two assists to power the College at Florham Devils to a 6-1 win over Brooklyn in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 5-2.
Corpuz started the scoring just 2:35 into the contest when he converted a pass from junior midfielder
Matt Kinsley (Pearl River, NY/Pearl River). Kinsley then made it 2-0 five minutes later before Brooklyn cut it to 2-1 with 8:10 left before halftime. The Devils came out roaring in the second half as Corpuz, freshman midfielder
Manny Almeida (Elizabeth, NJ/Union Catholic), senior midfielder
Lee Selby (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) and senior midfielder
Brian Hurley (Wall, NJ/Wall) all found the back of the net.
Kinsley and Selby each finished with a goal and an assist while freshman goalkeeper
Tim Kirk (Pompton Lakes, NJ/Pompton Lakes) picked up the win, playing the first half and allowing one goal while making one save.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at home against Hunter beginning at 1 pm.
