ALLENTOWN, PA - The College at Florham Devils beat Neumann, 3-1 (25-14, 21-25, 25-15, 25-20), before losing to DeSales, 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-16), on the second final day of the Muhlenberg Buttermaker Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
With the split, the Devils are now 7-4.
NEUMANN - Sophomore outside hitter
Katlyn Mullane (San Antonio, TX/Warren) led the attack for FDU with 11 kills and 13 digs while senior outside hitter
Meghan Droge (North Merrick, NY/Kellenberg) added 10 kills. Junior setter
Kerry Kuperman (Scottsdale, AZ/Chaparral) had 30 assists and sophomore libero
Marta Matera (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) added 15 digs.
DESALES - Matera had 26 digs for the Devils while Kuperman had 17 assists. Junior setter
Marcie Schlanger (New City, NY/Clarkstown South) had 15 digs and junior libero
Rachel Highley (New Holland, PA/Garden Spot) finished with 12 digs.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, with their conference opener at Wilkes beginning at 7 pm.
