MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by William Paterson, 79-54, in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 3-4.
The Pioneers attacked right from the tip, getting out to a 14-4 lead on their way to a 45-23 halftime advantage. It was more of the same in the second half as the closest FDU would get was 20 points, 45-25, on the first possession of the second stanza.
Senior forward
Danielle Michlovsky (Wind Gap, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) led the Devils with 15 points and four steals while sophomore forward
Matil Mangual (Westbury, NY/Clark) had 12 points. Freshman guard
Samantha Savona (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) had eight points in her first collegiate game.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, with their Freedom Conference opener against Delaware Valley beginning at 6 pm.
