POMONA, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Richard Stockton, 3-1, in non-conference action on Monday evening.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 8-9-1.
The Ospreys got on the board right away, at the 4:16 mark, before making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. Junior defender
John Gaw (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills) cut the deficit to 2-1 with 11:06 left in the first half when he converted a pass from junior midfielder
Matt Kinsley (Pearl River, NY/Pearl River). The Devils though, could get no closer as they trailed in both shots (25-10) and corner kicks (7-1). Stockton got an insurance goal in the 53rd minute to make the final score 3-1.
Freshman goalkeeper
Tim Kirk (Pompton Lakes, NJ/Pompton Lakes) made eight saves in net.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at Eastern beginning at 2:30 pm.
