MADISON, NJ - Freshman midfielder
Joshua Corpuz (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) had two goals and an assist to lead the College at Florham Devils to their first conference win of the season, 4-1, over Delaware Valley in Freedom Conference action on Wednesday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 8-7-1 (1-3-1 Freedom) while the Aggies dropped to 6-8-1 (0-5 Freedom).
Corpuz started the scoring 13:27 into the game but both teams played evenly through the remainder of the first half. FDU made it 2-0 at the 62:04 when Corpuz assisted on a goal by junior defender
John Gaw (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills). Corpuz made it 3-0 just three minutes later and the Devils made it 4-0 in the 73rd minute on a goal by freshman midfielder
Corey Sneyers (Clayton, NJ/Clayton). The Aggies cut it to 4-1 in the 84th minute but could get not closer.
Junior goalkeeper
Kevin Herbert (Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) made one save to pick up the win.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, October 24, 2009, at home for Senior Day against King's beginning at 1:30 pm.
