Samantha Lapszynski joined the women's basketball coach staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2019.
Lapszynski played collegiately at Niagara University, earning Second Team All-MAAC honors in 2016. While with the Purple Eagles, she matched the school-record with 19 rebounds in a game and as tabbed as the MAAC Player of the Week on November 30, 2016. In February 2016, she was named the MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week. Lapszynski was ranked in the top-10 in seven different categories during her four year career, and posted averages of 11.7 points and 8.6 rebounds per game in her season season.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education, Lapszynski played professionally in Europe for three years. She spent two years in Poland and one season in Germany.
A New Jersey native, she played high school basketball at Jefferson Township High School. Lapszynski was part of the team in 2012 that embarked on a 27 game winning streak while hitting the 1,000 point milestone. Additionally, she was named the New Jersey Herald Player of the Year and served as the team captain.
