Before joining Head Coach, Van Johnson, Staff in rebuilding the FDU-Florham Women's Basketball program, the Rutgers University graduate was seen playing with the FIBA as a professional basketball player as well as being an equipment manager for the Rutgers Women's Basketball team. Gonzalez enhanced his skills and basketball knowledge in all aspects of th game during this time to help in his next career path of coaching.
To ensure Gonzalez was prepared for every aspect of the game, he founded The Hills Basketball Academy in Mine Hills and Morris County, New Jersey. Designing and molding athletes to take the shape of a generation leader through the sport of basketball as well as enhancing their skills, strength, and agility.
