A 2017 graduate of Rutgers University, Patrick McCabe enters his first season as an assistant coach for the FDU Devils during the 2018 season, primarily working on the defensive side.
 
McCabe comes from Kinnelon, New Jersey where his lacrosse team won a Group 1 State Championship in 2009. 
 
Prior to joining FDU coaching staff McCabe played one year of lacrosse at the University of Scranton. He then went on to serve in the Army as a member of 2nd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. During his time as an Army Ranger he had three combat deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. 
 
After serving in the military, McCabe went on to play lacrosse at Rutgers University for three years. His senior year he was elected captain as the team had back to back 10 win seasons. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
 
McCabe is currently working toward his Master’s degree in Homeland Security here at FDU.
