PRIOR TO FDU
Bailey comes to FDU following a year as an Assistant Coach for Darryl Keckler next door at neighboring Drew University, where he helped lead the Rangers to a Landmark Conference Championship, the first conference championship in program history. Bailey worked specifically with the post players across the street, helping Howard McBurnie, Jr capture First Team All-Landmark honors while helping Malachi Walker, Jr earn Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second straight season.
Â
Prior to Drew, Bailey spent a year in the NJAC as an Assistant Coach at New Jersey City, where he helped lead the Gothic Knights to the NJAC Tournament and an ECAC Tournament bid. Bailey assisted in the development of Sam Toney, who was one of three Gothic Knights to be named to the NJAC All Conference team.
Â
Prior to NJCU, Bailey spent two years on the women’s side as an Assistant Coach at the College of Saint Elizabeth, where he helped the team to its best conference record in program history in 2018-2019, when the Eagles went 12-4 in NEAC play and reached the NEAC Tournament.
Â
Before making the jump to the college game, Bailey got his coaching start as an Assistant Varsity Coach at Selinsgrove High School, where he helped the boys basketball team to a 20-7 record, including a PHAC League Championship and a Pennsylvania State Playoff berth.
