PRIOR TO FDU
Prior to FDU, Akinsiku spent a season as an Assistant Coach at City College of New York. His primary responsibility was in recruiting, leading the Beavers recruiting in the tri-state area as well as their national junior college recruiting efforts. On the court, he helped mentor Yassine Sakhi, the CUNYAC and d3hoops.com Atlantic Region Rookie of the Year.

Before CCNY, Akinsiku spent a season at Fairleigh Dickinson University on our Metropolitan Campus as a Graduate Manager for the 2019 NEC Champion Knights. As the Graduate Manager, he was responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Men’s Basketball program, helping Head Coach Greg Herenda and his staff with whatever they needed. The Knights win over Prairie View A&M in the First Four round was their first NCAA Tournament victory in program history.
