2014 (Junior): In his first year as quarterback he threw for 1965 yards, 10 touchdowns while completing 60 percent of his passes … Threw for a career-high 357 yards and rushed for a touchdown against King’s on 10/18/14 … Totaled 353 yards while completing four touchdown passes against Lycoming on 11/14/14.

Personal: Son of John and Sue Maurer … born on March 3, 1994 …  prior to FDU-Florham, played football at West Milford High School … named to All-Conference and All-County football team during his high school career … also played varsity basketball (two years) and track and field (one year) … named Second Team All-Conference in basketball … brother, Steve Maurer, played football for Moravian College in 2011 … majoring in sports administration.
