Coach Hennessy joins the FDU staff for his first season coaching the cornerbacks for the Devils in 2019.
A Monmouth County, New Jersey native, Coach Hennessy brings experience playing defensive back for nearby William Paterson University, where he studied Exercise Physiology. He brings extensive knowledge and experience in strength and conditioning, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and nutrition. He played his high school football at Raritan High School where he also competed in wrestling for the Rockets.

Prior to FDU, he served as the Quarterbacks Coach for three years at Holmdel High School where he helped the Hornets reach the play-offs for the first time in a decade for two consecutive seasons. In addition to coaching football, he worked as an Exercise Physiologist for JAG-ONE Physical Therapy.

He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Athletic Leadership from Rider University with the goal of working in collegiate athletic administration.
