Coach Joe Dolinski begins his 54th season in football having now played and coached for half a century, he enters his 11th at the Florham Campus as the linebackers coach.Â
Coach Dolinski has coached an all-conference linebacker for nine consecutive seasons at St.Peter's College, TCNJ and now FDU-Florham.
In 2006, Dolinski coached Jerome Gordon at St. Peter's College, who as a true freshman averaged 11.5 tackles per game (6th in I-AA) and was selected Defensive Rookie of the Year.
In 2007, Dolinski mentored two all-conference linebackers at TCNJ, helping win the NJAC Conference Championship and capping the season with a second round appearance in the NCAA Division III Playoffs.Â
In a 2010 game against TCNJ, linebackers Ryan Daly, Steve Hoverson and Charlie Thomas combined for 43 tackles under the watch of Dolinski, leading to a thrilling 24-23 victory for the Devils.
During the 2012 campaign, inside linebackers Charlie Thomas and Mike Mancino combined for 213 tackles and averaged 21.3 total tackles per game, ranking them 1st and 3rd respectively in the Middle Atlantic Conference. Mancino led the conference in total tackles in 2012 (126 and 7th in D lll) and 2013 (116).   At the young age of 22, Mike Mancino is now the LB coach at Division ll Northwestern Okllahoma State.
Coach Dolinski graduated from TCNJ with a Master's in Education in the Supervision of Athletics and Physical Education. He recently retired from teaching after 35 years in the school system.
