CAREER WRITE-UP
Kennedy began his FDU tenure in 2021. He spent time coaching the Devils tight ends in 2021 before transitioning to the wide receivers coach in 2022 and 2023. He now serves as the team's Special Teams Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach.
As a member of the Devils staff, Kennedy has helped mentor an All-MAC player in each season since 2021, including Ryon Thomas who led the conference in passing with 2,616 yards. Ryon also led the conference in Completion Percentage (71.3%). Connor Perez also led the conference in Receiving Yards (2022) and was First Team All-MAC and Second Team ALL ECAC. In 2024 the Devils Offense Ranked 1st in the conference in Scoring (32.55 ppg), Total Offense (409.5 ypg), Passing Offense (239.8 ypg), 1st Downs Per Game (23), 3rd Down Conversion percentage (54.0%) and Completion percentage (71.4%) all while having the least amount of turnovers in the MAC.
Kennedy also acts as the Team’s Recruiting Coordinator and Academic Coordinator. He previously held titles of Director of Football Operations, Video Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, JV Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Special Teams Coordinator.
Before arriving in Madison, Kennedy worked as a Student Assistant at Temple University while completing his undergrad. He worked for the team’s Video and Recruiting Departments, supporting the coaching staff in a variety of ways.
Kennedy resides in Morristown New Jersey. He grew up in East Brunswick and graduated from East Brunswick High School. Kennedy earned his Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Temple University in 2020 and received his Masters in Sports Management from FDU in 2023.
