Stephanie Zygmunt

Stephanie Zygmunt enters her first season as an assistant field hockey coach and head goalkeeping coach for the Devils, working primarily with goalkeepers and the defense.

Zygmunt comes to the FDU-Florham field hockey program having completed a stellar career at Division I University of Vermont. Starting every game for the Catamounts during her sophomore, junior and senior campaigns, she led the America East Conference in total saves, saves per game, and save percentage each of those three seasons. As a junior and senior, she led the nation in total saves (188 and 223) and saves per game (10.44 and 11.74).

Additionally, she finished in the top 10 nationally in save percentage twice and ranks third all-time in career saves at University of Vermont's with 584. Zygmunt was a two-time team MVP and elected team captain in her senior season. She was also named America East Conference Defensive Player of the Week and ECAC Player of the Week on October 29, 2012.

Off the field, Zygmunt found success in the classroom and coaching. She was a five-year member of the University of Vermont's Dean's List, a three-time member of the America East Conference's Commissioner's Honor Roll and a two-time member of the Division I National Academic Squad. She's coached the varsity field hockey team at Rice Memorial High School in Vermont, several clinics and camps and the National Futures Program for four years.

Zygmunt graduated from Wayne Hills High School in Wayne, N.J. where she was an All-League, All-County, All-North Jersey and All-State selection, while leading her team to the sectional state championship her junior and senior year.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in Physical Education from the University of Vermont in 2014 and her Master of Education in Special Education from the University in 2015.
