Sophie Wright enters her third season as an assistant coach of the FDU field hockey program.
An England resident but born in New Zealand, Wright graduated from Rutgers in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, and is current pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration from FDU. Previously, she has coached at Monkton Prep in Bath, England, coaching boys and girls ages 8-12, while also coaching a U-12 girls Toorak East Malvern Hockey Club in Melbourne, Australia.
Wright played four seasons at Rutgers, and was named Second Team All-Big East in 2013, while also picking up 2013 Longstreth/NFHCA Second Team All-Mid Atlantic Honors. She appeared on the Big East Weekly Honor Roll three times her career, once during her sophomore season and twice in her senior year. In 2009, she was tabbed as one of four "Young Ambassadors" for the 2012 Olympics.
