OWINGS MILL, Md. – The FDU-Florham football team dropped its fourth game in a row Saturday afternoon as the Devils fell to Stevenson 42-14 after the Mustangs' second half comeback. 

DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS

• Senior Jake Sconza threw for 194 yards with two touchdowns and was 17-for-31 in pass attempts. 
• Nahjee Adams led the backfield with 12 rushing attempts for a net gain of 31 yards. 
• Adams and Brian Dunleavy accounted for FDU's two touchdowns 
• Jarelle Taylor led the receiver core with six receptions and 66 yards with a long of 22.
• Sabri Melvin had the most receiving yards at 70 and accounted for FDU's second longest reception of the day at 27 behind Kyree Drake's lone 35-yard reception. 
• Defensively, Jayden Endaz and AJ Kuc led all Devils tacklers with seven tackles each including a sack for Kuc. 
• Travis Petrone and Da'vion Young each had an interception on the day. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first half was all FDU on Saturday as the Devils were hot on both sides of the ball to start the game. Young picked off Stevenson's Todd Lattimore as the Mustangs decided to go for it on fourth down at the Stevenson six-yard line. 
• Young's interception put the FDU offense immediately in the red zone setting up the Devils' first touchdown of the day as a short pass from Sconza to Adams in the endzone put FDU on top 7-0 after George Carr's PAT. 
• FDU took its 7-0 lead into the second quarter where the Devils started with the ball on their own seven-yard line. Sconza led the Devils offense on a 12-play, 6:30 charge down the field and finished with an eight-yard pass to Dunleavy for the score to double FDU's lead to 14-0 with 8:21 left before the half. 
• After the FDU defense held Stevenson scoreless through the first half, the Mustangs offense came to life in the second half scoring three times in the third quarter to take a 20-14 lead into the final quarter of action. 
• In the fourth, the Mustangs opened the quarter with its third unanswered touchdown of the second half. This was followed by a sack fumble as Stevenson's Xavier McKinney sacked Sconza who fumbled and then Terae Franklin returned the recovered ball for a 33-yard touchdown to put Stevenson on top 35-14. 
• The Mustangs' fourth unanswered TD of the day put the game on ice and FDU fell to Stevenson 42-14. 

GAME NOTES

• This was the first time FDU had a lead at halftime
• Saturday's game was Kuc's third game this season with one sack
• This was Petrone's second straight game with an interception
• Julian Matera had three rush attempts for a net of 18 yards on the day including a 14-yard rush in the third quarter to convert a first down on a fourth and eight. 

UP NEXT
FDU remains on the road as the Devils head to Doylestown, Pa. for a bout with Delaware Valley. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
