MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham men's lacrosse team dropped its MAC Freedom opener to Misericordia 19-4 Wednesday night at home. 
 
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS

• Vito Trapani, Anthony DiGiacomo, Luke Dugan, and Joseph Carbo each scored a goal for the Devils.
• Justin Perillo tallied two assists.
• Carbo and Christopher Scheublin each added an assist. 
• Tristan Newhouse was 10-for-16 at the face-off.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cougars found their way on the board first as Ian Young netted his first goal of the contest to put Misericordia up 1-0. 
• At the 12:32 mark, Trapani found the back of the Cougar's net to knot the contest at 1-1. 
• With 1:40 remaining in the first period, Dugan gave FDU a 2-1 lead, but it did not last long as 20 seconds later Misericordia's Jack Simone answered with a goal to tie the game at 2-2.
• With 28 seconds left in the first, Simone put the Cougars back in front with a second consecutive goal to make it 3-2.
• Down 4-2 with 12:37 before the break, DiGiacomo found the back of the Mis net on an assist from Perillo to make it a one-goal game. 
• The Cougars then went onto score five unanswered goals to end the first half with a 9-3 lead. 
• After the break, Carbo netted the Devils' fourth and final goal of the night as the Cougars scored 10 more unanswered goals to close out the night.

UP NEXT
FDU returns to action on Wednesday, April 8 as the Devils head to Hoboken to face off against the Stevens Ducks. First face-off is set for 7 p.m.
