How It Happened
- The Lions struck first in the top of the third as a costly error by the Devils made it a 1-0 game. The offense quickly answered back in the bottom of the third as the team went on to score three runs, making the game 3-1. Back-to-back RBI triples off the bats of Rolli and Diaz gave the Devils the advantage going into the fourth inning.
- After clawing a run back in the top of the fifth, the offense once again response with two runs in the bottom of the inning. Starting with an RBI single off from junior Peter Longo, the Devils continued to capitalize as Miller grounds into a double play to score first year Noah Fiorillo.
- A disastrous top of the eighth from the Devils handed the Lions the lead, after a two-run home run off the bat of Brian Lovaglio capitalized TCNJ's six run inning. The Devils would not go down easy as they forged a three-run comeback in the bottom of the ninth to make the final score 9-8. RBI from Fiorillo and Miller gave the Devils one last chance to win the game, however, they unfortunately couldn't get it done as a ground out from senior Nicholas Colbert ended the game for the team.
