MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham women's tennis team dropped its home opening match Wednesday afternoon as the Devils fell 4-3 to the Pioneers. 
 
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS

• Victoria Carrico and Giavana Caraccioli notched three points in #1 doubles. 
• Melanie Perez won the #4 singles for her first win. 
• Kaitlin Daly swept her match in two sets

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Perez earned the Devils their first win of the afternoon as she took the first set 7-5 and the second set 7-6 after a 7-2 tie breaker win in the #3 singles.
• Daly gave the Devils their second win in #4 singles with 6-1 and 6-0 wins.

MATCH NOTES

• Perez's win was FDU's first of the season. 
• The Devils earned two points from William Paterson forfeits.

The Devils return to the courts on Friday, March 27 as FDU faces off against Baruch College. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
