How it Happened
- In the opening quarter, the Devils earned the first goal of the game after a caused Blazer turnover by Medina followed by an FDU goal from Collins at the 9:33 minute mark
- After Kozik saved an Elms shot on goal, Mellon got FDU its own goal on the board at the 8:02 time stamp
- The Blazers got one shot past Kozik in the first, but the Devils closed out the quarter with a made free position shot from Hartnett
- Elms notched 3 consecutive goals to open the second quarter, tying the Devils at 4-4 with 10:40 on the clock
- FDU responded with 4 back-to-back goals late in the second to reclaim their lead, with three being on man-up opportunities, 8-4
- An opening third quarter goal on another man-up opportunity from Medina extend the Devils lead to 9-7
- While the Devils were getting to the back of the cage on many man-up chances, at the 8:16 minute mark of the third quarter, Collins scored FDUs 10th goal on a man-down situation
- Medina notched goal number 6 of the night on a free position shot, taking the score to 11-4 with 7:05 remaining in the third
- FDU sank two more goals during the third, one from Jenna Robinson and another from Medina
- While the Devils were far in the lead, FDU offense did not back down as Medina scored her 8th goal of the night, 14-7, at the 13:20 minute in the fourth quarter
- After two Elms goals, as they were going for a third, a caused turnover by Sasha Pollock lent FDU a scoring opportunity for Medina
- In the final seconds, Ballesteros scored FDU's last goal of the match up for a final score of 16-9
