AMBLER, Pa. – The FDU-Florham baseball team starts MAC Freedom conference play with an away loss against the Knights.
Devils Highlights
- First year Noah Fiorillo had a solid day at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two singles.
- Senior Nicholas Colbert produced the only scoring for the Devils, going 1-for-5 with one RBI.
- Junior Peter Longo helped lift the offense, going 1-for-1 with a double and one run scored.
- Sophomore Xavier Diaz extended his hitting streak, going 1-for-5 with a single.
How It Happened
- The Devils started the game off hot as they started the scoring against the Knights. After juniors Tommy Sica and John Rolli got on base, a wild pitch from Hunter Dicarlantonio brought Sica home and gave the team a 1-0 lead.
- The offense went on to produce one more run, this time in the top of the fourth. A double from Longo down the right field line set up a perfect opportunity for Colbert to drive him in with a single through the left side, cutting the deficit down to 7-2.
Game Notes
- Seven players registered a hit in today's game against the Knights.
- With his single in the top of the third, Diaz extends his hitting streak to 10 games.
