HOBOKEN, N.J. – The FDU-Florham men's basketball team dropped its season finale to Stevens 87-73 Saturday afternoon on the road. 
 
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS

• Chris Smith tallied 20 points on 6-of-12 from the field and 8-of-10 from the stripe. 
• Frankie Denvir recorded 15 points on 5-of-12 shooting including a 3-for-9 night from beyond the arc. 
• Gino Romano netted 14 points on four threes and a perfect 2-for-2 from the free throw line. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Senior Mac Creek put the Devils up 2-0 just 19 seconds into the contest to open the scoring. 
• The Ducks then went on a 36-11 run and took a 36-13 lead with 8:40 left in the first half. 
• A Micah Moore jumper at the 4:58 mark cut the deficit to 18, 38-20 but the Ducks held a 20-point lead by half's end. 
• The Devils fought through the first seven minutes of the second half and a Romano three at the 12:49 mark cut the FDU deficit to 13, 62-49.
• Three minutes later, Mac Creek knocked down a trey to cut it to an 11-point game, 63-52, with 9:42 remaining in regulation.
• The Devils cut their Deficit to 10 points with 6:13 left to play, but that was the closest FDU would come, falling 87-73 in the end.

GAME NOTES

• Smith recorded his second 20+ point performance of the season and his 23^rd double digit point effort of the year. 
• Romano's 4-for-6 day from three-point range was the 14^th time a Devils player made four or more in a game. 
• Saturday's game was Denvir's eighth straight double figure point game.
