Men's Lax Wins Big at Albright to Open 2026 Campaign

READING, Pa. – Led by seven goals from Luke Dugan, the FDU-Florham men's lacrosse team topped Albright 16-6 on the road to open the 2026 season. 
 
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS
  • Dugan finished the day with seven points and tallied 10 shots with eight on frame. 
  • Joseph Carbo led all Devils players with 17 shots as he finished the day with three goals, and one caused turnover. 
  • Justin Perillo netted two goals and added six assists for a team-high eight points on the day. 
  • Faceoff specialist Anthony Giardina picked up eight ground balls and went 20-for-26 in faceoffs. 
  • Goalkeeper Anthony Pieroni recorded five saves and earned the win. 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Luke Hall scored FDU's first goal of the year on an assist from Perillo just 4:00 into the first quarter. 
  • Dugan then scored two of the FDU's next three goals followed by a goal from Carbo to give the Devils a 4-0 edge after the first quarter. 
  • FDU opened the second period with goals from Carbo, then Dugan, followed by Tyler Collins to extend the lead to 7-0 with 10:42 to play before the half. 
  • The Lions answered with two goals in the quarter, but Carbo, Scheublin, and Perillo each scored to extend the FDU lead to 10-2 at the break.
  • Fifty-eight seconds into the third period, Dugan scored once again followed by one from Perillo on an assist from Vito Trapani with 8:35 to go in the period. 
  • Albright answered with three straight goals of its own, beginning with one from Justin Moroney as the Lions cut the FDU lead to 12-5 at the end of the third. 
  • In the fourth, Albright scored its sixth and final goal to open the period, but Dugan answered with his fifth and sixth goals of the contest to extend the FDU lead to 14-6. 
  • Anthony DiGiacomo got in on the action with an unassisted goal for FDU's 15th of the day followed by its 16th on Dugan's seventh of the day. 
UP NEXT
The Devils make their 2026 home debut on Saturday, Feb. 21 as FDU hosts Wilkes. First face-off is set for 3:30 p.m.
